The presented publication offers methodological tools for a comprehensive assessment of the spatial development of the subjects of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation (Russian Arctic) in the relationship of their socio-ecological and economic development and development of the territory. The problems of spatial development of our country, which, first of all, include the outflow of population to the largest agglomerations and cities, low transport accessibility and connectivity of the territory, periphery, consolidation of raw specialization, have the greatest degree of manifestation in the Arctic regions, which causes the special relevance of this study. In the work, the authors carried out the approbation of the methodological tools proposed by the authors, on the basis of which all regions of the Russian Arctic were divided into 4 clusters: "outsiders with average development of the territory" (Arkhangelsk region and Komi Republic), "outsiders with high development of the territory" (Republic of Karelia and Murmansk region), "underdeveloped middle-class" (Chukchi, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous districts, Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Krasnoyarsk territory), "underdeveloped leaders" (Nenets Autonomous Okrug)...
