Assessment of the recreational potential of the Taldykol lake system in Astana

The article evaluates the recreational potential of the Taldykol lake system in Astana. In conditions of limited water resources in the dry steppe zone, the Taldykol lake system is a natural complex with high ecological, economic and social significance. The article considers natural and anthropogenic factors affecting the state of wetlands, as well as their role in ensuring ecological balance and improving the quality of life of the urban population. The analysis of the possibilities of developing an ecologically acceptable recreational nature management of the Taldykol lake system in order to preserve and rationalize the use of wetlands for the sustainable development of Astana city has been carried out.
