Evaluation of the resource potential of the retail trade of the far Eastern federal district

The article notes that decisions relating to the investment in the retail sector, are risky and require detailed analysis. The purpose of this study is to develop a methodological approach to assess the resource potential of the retail trade in the region in the context of tangible and intangible resources. This paper describes methodological approach to the evaluation of the resource potential of the retail trade in the region, including tangible and intangible resources. Estimation algorithm, a list of indicators, aggregate resource potential of the retail trade in the region are determined. The results of approbation of the proposed methodological approach on the examples of the Far East of Russia are presented. Rating of the regions are determined. The results of the study can be used to develop the retail infrastructure and for investment decisions.
