Assessment of management effectiveness in institutions of the region’s social sphere (case study of the health care sector)

The paper analyzes the results of a sociological survey carried out by ISEDT RAS in May – June 2013. Chief physicians of medical institutions of the regional health system were surveyed from the viewpoint of such performance indicator as innovativeness (innovation development) of organizations. The role of the head and the level of his/her professional competence were pointed out, as well as the possibility of its development at a higher level.
