The toolkit of household surveys on poverty includes several questions, the answers to which characterize different aspects of this phenomenon. There are three methods of estimating the extent of poverty: economic (by income levels), by the degree of access to goods and services (need - deprivation), and psychological (subjective perception of one’s standard of living). All of them characterize this social phenomenon, but it is not clear how these estimates are consistent with each other, and whether there is a latent poverty that statistically affects them. The article attempts to solve this problem with the help of latent-structural analysis. It presents the results of specific calculations and proves the possibility of obtaining consistent poverty estimates for different socio-demographic groups of population.
