The experimental part of the work was carried out on the fields of seed production department of FSBSI “Omsk Agrarian Scientific Centerˮ in 2021-2023. Hydrothermal conditions in 2021 and 2023 were characterized by aridity. Breeding lines of spring soft wheat (12) were represented by three groups of ripeness - medium-early, medium-ripe and medium-late. The following varieties were used as standards: Pamyati Azieva, Duet and Element 22. Experiments were laid and observations were made in accordance with the Methodology of the State Commission for Variety Testing of Agricultural Crops. Mathematical processing of data was carried out according to the method of variance analysis as described by B.A. Dospekhov. The purpose of the study was to evaluate varieties and lines of spring soft wheat by grain yield and elements of yield structure in the contrasting conditions of the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia. The study of breeding lines of spring soft wheat in contrast conditions of 2021-2023 in the southern forest-steppe of Western Siberia allowed to reveal their reaction to changing conditions of cultivation, as well as to identify a number of promising samples that can be transferred both to the State variety trial and used in further breeding programs. This breeding lines G 6/17 and G 10/17 medium-early ripeness group, exceeded the standard by 0.99 t/ha (5.29 t/ha), as well as medium-ripening lines G 15/17 and G 7/17 with grain yield of 5,47 and 5,40 tons/ha, respectively, exceeding the variety-standard Duet by 1,07 and 1,00 t/ha.
