The results of the study of new and promising potatoes varieties on a hard natural infectious background in conditions of high air temperatures and insufficient moisture are presented. As a result of a comprehensive assessment in the growing season of 2019, new and promising domestic varieties have been identified, combining high yield, resistance to viral pathogens, adapted to agroecological conditions of high air temperature and insufficient moisture. The results of the research can be applied in the production of potatoes to increase the assortment of potatoes cultivated in the Samara region and the wider introduction of domestic table varieties, which will fully meet the needs of the population in quality potatoes.
