The construction cluster is the most important area of the economy. Its condition largely determines the level of development of society. The main goal of the construction cluster enterprises is to update production assets, improve the social sphere, modernize, reconstruct and re-equip material goods. The development of the construction cluster has a positive impact on the economy of Russia and the regions, and contributes to the inflow of financial resources. The purpose of the study is to identify the main problems of development of enterprises in the construction cluster of the region and determine the ways to solve them. The article substantiates the need to monitor the state of the RM construction cluster. The article substantiates the need to monitor the state of the construction cluster in the region. The authors identified the main problems of this sector of the economy (reduction of consumer demand in the housing market, reduction of construction financing, personnel problem), and also analyzed the state of the construction cluster of the Republic of Mordovia. The authors note that the Russian government is currently considering a fairly broad list of measures aimed at supporting the construction sector and preventing the growth of bankruptcies of construction companies. Nevertheless, the research conducted in this work indicated a state of decline in the regional construction services market. In conclusion, the authors suggest the main directions for solving problems in the construction cluster, which allow reducing the level of uncertainty and minimizing risks in the process of making management decisions.
