State estimation of population of rare plant species of the Omsk region (Isilkulsky and Krutinsky districts)

The results of the monitoring of rare plant species populations in the Omsk region on the territory of Isilkulsky and Krutinsky municipal districts have been presented. The goal was to estimate the number of protected plant species. Field studies were carried out by routing method during the period from April to September 2011. 99 cenopopulations of 21 protected plant species have been studied, many locations have been indicated for the first time. The location of 18 species listed in the Red List of the Omsk region was established for the first time. The locations of 18 species of the Red List of the Omsk Region have been identified in the investigated districts for the first time. Astragalus buchtormensis, Astragalus macropus, Astragalus tenuifolius, Atraphaxis frutescens, Dianthus leptopetalus, Nuphar pumila, Puccinellia gigantea, Stipa korshinskyi, Stipa lessingiana, Stipa kirghisorum, Tanacetum millefolium, Valeriana tuberosa have been found in Isilkulsky district. Cypripedium calceolus, Cypripedium macranthon, Platanthera bifolia, Potentilla erecta, Primula longiscapa, Trollius europaeus have been found in Krutinsky district. The state estimation of populations of the Red List species of the Omsk region has been made, the factual data about the spreading, the trend for changing, limiting factors have been collected. According to the monitoring of the period from 2007 to 2014 the species whose condition didn’t awake apprehensions were transferred to the list of animals, plants and other organisms requiring special attention to their status in the natural environment. The category of rarity of 6 species was changed: Atraphaxis frutescens, Dianthus leptopetalus, Stipa korshinskyi, Stipa kirghisorum, Stipa lessingiana, Valeriana tuberosa. It was established that about 25 rare and protected plant species had been growing on the territory of the state natural reserve of regional importance «Lake Ebeyty». The area of wide-scale growing of rare plant species was defined in Krutinsky district, which was proposed to be specified as protected natural area of botanical profile.
