Modern state of Russia evaluation from the perspective of the world-system analysis

The article deals with the problems of socio-economic development of modernRussia. It is argued that the world-system analysis theory has a certain heuristicvalue, as it contributes to a better understanding of the role, place and challengesfacing Russia in the conditions of existence in the global economy. This isalso important because modern society is entering an important period of itsdevelopment due to the management of changes in the intellectually saturatedsectors of the economy. The author notes that in order to avoid the peripheralstatus of Russia, it is necessary to take measures aimed at restoring the nationalproduction.
