Evaluation of the modern state of the external state debt in the Russian Federation

Government debt is an integral part of most financial systems. World practice indicates the widespread use of debt policy to finance state budget expenditures, which leads to the formation and buildup of public debt, which is normal in the financial management of a civilized country. The article examines the current state of external public debt in the Russian Federation. Problems are identified and directions of development of public debt management in the Russian Federation are identified.
