Evaluation of the correlation degree between the factors and parameters of the housing market in the Nizhny Novgorod region for years 2007-2012 on the basis of the correlation and regression analysis

The article presents evaluation results of the correlation degree between the cost per 1 square meter of the residential real estate on the primary and secondary housing market in the Nizhny Novgorod region for years 2007–2012 basing upon the correlation and regression analysis. The research results has allowed forecasting the price level of 1 square meter of the residential property in the near-team prospect. The author suggests a method of calculation of the housing affordability ratio in the Nizhny Novgorod region as a major indicator allowing to assess the real estate affordability for consumers.
