Estimation of thermal clothing insulation at the Russian Far East

Бесплатный доступ

To estimate relations between atmospheric environment and human health complex models of body-atmosphere energy exchanges in familiar terms of clothing, defined as insulation required for comfort, are used. They integrate thermal effects outdoors of air temperature, wind, humidity, solar radiation and level of activity. Monthly climate data for cities at the Russian Far East are used to identify thermal extremes that would be felt by townsmen walking slowly or engaged in light activity outdoors during autumn, winter and spring.
