Assessment of forest land transport access based on updated GIS procedure applications in Archangelskaya region case study

Assessing the transport accessibility of forest lands is an important factor in the organization of the entire chain of planning and management of forestry in the territory of the subject of the Russian Federation: the effectiveness of measures for harvesting timber, reforestation and forest care depends on this, and the definition of the forest management system. Studies based on the interpretation of the data of panchromatic satellite imagery from Landsat 8 made it possible to significantly supplement the existing network of roads, taking into account the forest roads. According to the data of transport accessibility, the possibility of using different forest management systems in the territory of the Arkhangelsk region is analyzed.
