Assessment of the sustainability of the federal budget using the methodology of the fiscal space

The relevance of the work is Due to the emerging issues of the expediency of using instruments of stimulating fiscal policy, the role of which is increasing due to the sanctions waves against Russia and structural imbalances in the economy caused by both internal and external factors. An excessive increase in government spending leads to the formation of a federal budget deficit, as a result of which the volume of public debt increases. In turn, the growth of the federal budget deficit and the volume of public debt violate the stability of the budget, as well as narrow the fiscal space and limit its use in conducting fiscal policy. The methodology of the fiscal space forms the basis for a multifactorial analysis of the sustainability of the federal budget. The article analyzes the budgetary parameters and the stability of the budget, and suggests directions for expanding the fiscal space.
