Geological assessment of waste disposal in the Russian Federation

The article is devoted to the problem of waste disposal in the Russian Federation. Analysis of the morphological and average chemical composition of MSW showed that useful fractions for secondary processing can be obtained from waste. A comparative assessment of disposal methods in Russia and in foreign countries has been carried out. It was revealed that the Russian Federation lags behind the developed countries. It is necessary to switch to such methods of disposal as recycling and incineration in order to obtain energy.
