Assessment of the household sector contribution to the social and economic development in the territories of various stadial affiliation

Introduction: the article presents an assessment of the contribution household sector to the social and economic development of territories, taking into account the stages of their life cycle, as well as indicators of economic security that characterize the financial condition of households in the regions of the Volga Federal District (VFD). Objectives: to assess and analyze the degree of household sector participation in the economy of the VFD regions in relation to economic security and the staged development of these territories. Methods: system method, statistical method for analyzing the national accounts system indicators, grouping method, standardization method, scaling method, stage-level approach. Results: the assessment and analysis of the household sector contribution to the gross regional product (gross value added - GVA) of the VFD regions made it possible, firstly, to take into account the activities of this sector in conjunction with the industry structure of the GVA, indicators of households economic security and life cycle stages of territories; and, secondly, to identify factors that reduce the share of households in the economy. Conclusions: in order to increase the degree of household sector participation in the social and economic development of the territories, while developing government measures to support small and medium-sized businesses as a key source for the formation of solvent demand in the household sector it is proposed to focus on two directions: firstly, organizing effective control over the timeliness and completeness of the proposed measures and, secondly, enhancing the role and responsibility of the banking sector in stimulating small and medium-sized enterprises.
