Assessment of the influence of external factors on the state and prospects of development of small businesses in Russia

The scientific article examines the importance of the influence of environmental factors on the state and prospects of development of small business in Russia. The main factors of direct and indirect impact were identified. On the basis of the decree adopted by the President of the Russian Federation, the main trends in the development of small business in Russia were identified: massive layoffs in firms' employees, which led to unemployment; the transition to a remote and combined format of work due to the epidemiological situation in the country, which led to a sharp development of companies, which could not but affect the economy as a whole.
