Score of the influence of illuminatiness on the indicators characterizing of cucumber seedlings

Plant productivity is influenced by a large number of factors - temperature, gas composition, lighting level, spectral composition, lighting mode and a number of other parameters. The level of light should be paid special attention, as that parameter has a significant impact on the intensity of the photosynthesis process, thanks to which the creates up to 95% of the biomass of the plant, and, accordingly, on the main processes of life at different stages of plant development. The rational range of the illuminatiness at which maximum productivity is achieved is determined by the species and stage of the plant's development. However, in the case of cucumber culture, there is no consensus in the studies of the various authors about this parameter, and the ranges of the illuminatiness values according to the materials of various studies range from 6 to 25 klux. The article provides the results of studies that establish the relationship between the indicators that characterize the productive qualities of cucumber seedlings (the height of the plant, the average weight of the vegetative part, the mass of the root) and the level of illuminatiness. The research was carried out on the seedlings variety of the "Early Bird" of the company "Gardens of Russia." The results of the studies allow us to establish trends in the indicators that characterize the productivity of cucumber seedlings depending on the illuminatiness and to determine the rational range of the specified parameter.
