Assessment of the impact of the border situation on the socio-economic development of the region and prospects for the development of the border regions of the Kyrgyz Republic

Frequent conflicts on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border have led to a certain decrease in the economic activity of Kyrgyzstan due to a significant reduction in the socio-economic development of certain border territories in two regions of the republic - Batken and Osh regions. The peculiarity of the problem concerning the borders of the Kyrgyz Republic and what is necessary for the development of policy and initiative has always been considered and is considered to be a complex arrangement and sensitivity. The problem of complexity lies not in the completion of the process of delimitation and demarcation, but in the use of common natural resources and channels for trade in the border area. The closure of borders and quarantine measures have led to a significant reduction in the promotion of manufactured products to regional and international markets, which is especially important for the economy of the population of the Batken region, characterized by a high level of openness. The article, based on the analysis of data on the forecast and actual level of socio-economic indicators of the Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the study of trends in foreign trade activities and assessments adopted by the authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic to support the population and local enterprises, identifies the prospects for supporting border regions, its elaboration, focus on solving urgent problems, including raising the country's economy. An important driver of economic recovery should be the promotion of manufactured products to regional and international markets, which will accelerate the economic development of the border regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.
