Assessment of the Impact of Heavy Metals Fallout on the Condition of Pine Forests in the Moscow region

The paper presents methodological approaches to assessing the impact of anthropogenic pollution of the environment with heavy metals on the condition of forest plantations using statistical analysis of the correlation between the content of pollutants in the snow cover and the index of the condition of tree stands. The impact of industrial emissions of heavy metals on pine plantations of different age groups has been evaluated. Based on the results of a field experiment, the paper presents data on the effect of controlled zinc loads on various components of plantations and the permissible levels of zinc deposition for pine young forests. Based on the comparison of data on actual metal deposition levels and permissible loads, it was concluded that heavy metal pollution had no significant impact on the condition of pine forests in the study area.
