This article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of using geo-positioning in mobile applications, including working with GPS, on the iOS and Android platforms. The main purpose of the work was to study and evalu-ate the capabilities of geolocation positioning for identifying objects. The paper proposes the idea of combining subject areas into a universal interface that allows you to simplify the search for nearby objects and services, as well as provide detailed information and expanded opportunities for their application. As an assessment tool, we considered the creation of a mobile application that can determine the user's location in real time and offer him a list of objects (and subsequently services) in a predetermined range of their distance from a given point. The technology called Geofence helps to cope with the problem of non-optimized and continuous geoposition requests. To test the validity of the idea, a prototype of a mobile application was created using the Xamarin tool. To work with the geolocation, the built-in "Geolocation" class was used. The declarative markup language XAML was used to describe the user interface. The Angular framework was chosen as the implementation tool. In the course of the research, an express analysis of existing solutions was carried out, on the basis of which it was concluded that at the time of writing this article there are no such applications. This approach allows you to reduce the time spent on finding the services necessary for the user. As a result, an MVP version of the product was created that implements the basic functionality and consists of a mobile application and an administration system hosted on the web. The test operation confirms the viability of the original idea, and the resulting product has the potential for further development.
