Assessment of possibility to apply mediation procedures in administrative dispute settlement

The concept of mediation and possibility of its application are considered Characteristic features of mediation procedures are revealed. The causes of growing demand for mediation procedures’ employment during administrative dispute resolutions are studied. One of the research tasks is to assess existing prerequisites for mediation procedures’ introduction and use on the territory of the Russian Federation. To realize the goal of the research a comparative analysis normally used in foreign countries is employed. Conclusions on the significance of mediation procedures for national practice in administrative dispute settlements and their advantages, if compared with the methods already introduced on the territory of the Russian Federation, are drawn.
