The dependence evaluation of natural grassland productivity of astrakhan region on the hydrological and meteorological factors during 1970-1999

The dependence of natural grassland productivity of Volga-Akhtuba flood plain and Volga river delta on the meteorological and hydrological factors on the territory of the Astrakhan region is reviewed. The significant effect of high water conditions on natural grassland productivity was established. Peak discharge and total amount of spill water from the Volgograd reservoir are the most important parameters, which influence on the productivity of natural grassland. The best value of these parameters is determined.
