We evaluated: a) the level of knowledge on transfusion medicine in students in clinicalresidency, b) the effectiveness of a 4-hour session on the practice of blood transfusion ina multidisciplinary clinic with residents of 14 clinical departments. A questionnaire of 10questions each student filled in before and after classes. For each question it was necessary to choose 1 correct variant of the answer from 4 proposed ones. Of the 120 students,the questionnaire was passed 110 (61 - the first year of study and 49 - the second). Theproportion of correct answers prior to the session for the first and second year students wasnot significantly different.
