The article examines the formation of the modern idea of a unipolar world order in political discourse. American ideologists and political scientists who legitimize the US hegemony primarily created the concept of a unipolar world structure. The dominance of the United States in a unipolar world is justified by its superiority as the only superpower with military power, political mission, economic weight and cultural influence. In a unipolar world, the United States claimed to be a world arbiter, but became a world destroyer due to its claims to world domination under the guise of world leadership.
