The article describes the results of dental analysis of Mokhe tribes from the western part of Amur region, based on materials from Troitsky burial ground of the 8th -9th centuries AD (Ivanovsky district, Amur region). The main goal of the research was to identify the geographical area of the origin of the morphological specificity of the Mokhe population. The Mokhe dental features were compared with Neolithic and Bronze Age populations of the Baikal region, Neolithic groups from the Far East, Northeastern Siberia, China and Japan and also with Yankovskaya culture of the Southern Primorye. Mokhe sample shows close dental similarity with the tribes of the Glazkovskaya culture and one of the Chinese samples of the 3rd millennium BC. Yankovskaya sample does not show affinities with any of Baikal or Chinese groups, which fact supported the hypothesis about relatively late appearing of populations, biologically related with the Troitsky Mokhe in the Far East.
