Wildlife conservation as a term of an effective use of landscape potential (on an example of Toropetsky district, Tver region)

The estimation of natural and functional role of a regional landscape of Tver region in providing the sustainable development has been carried out within the framework of the project "Preservation and Effective Use of Landscape Potential of Russia". The landscape and biological diversity have been evaluated along with current impact on the landscape potential. The functional zoning for the creation of model of splitting the territories by types, intensity of wildlife management and modes of landscape protection is done. Measures for the protection of Toropetsky district landscapes are developed.
