Protected natural areas as a regulator of catchment hydrological regime (on an example of Pestravskiy district of Samara province)

Conservation in the natural state of catchment natural complexes provides ecological balance in the watercourse system. Usually this task is begun to solve at the level of an administrative district. And here formation of a system of especially protected natural areas plays an important role along with the measures regulating economic activity - they may indirectly participate in maintaining the “natural” hydrological regime of the territories. The system of protected territories of Pestravskiy district (the Samara province) is described in the article.
