The article is a comparison of the experience of the classic text of M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin's "Story of a City" with T. Tolstaya’s post-modern novel "Kys". Analysis occasional vocabulary - both conceptual dominant texts - serves to highlight the particular art systems authors.
