VKontakte online communities: difference in content and proximity of audience

The article analyzes ways to promote educational projects through the creation and maintenance of groups on the VKontakte social network. The empirical base consists of 50 communities in which the intersection of audiences, as well as thematic content, were analyzed. Based on the methodology of the network approach, the authors consider the possibility of uniting VKontakte groups that promote educational projects in communities, the criteria for this association, as well as the correlation between the number of subscribers in the groups and the content they provide.
