Onomastic science in Buryatia

The article is devoted to the development of onomastic science in the Republic of Buryatia. The authot gives a review on materials of the international conference "Onomastic Sciences and Culture". The works consider the actual problems of the linguistic status of proper names and their functioning in speech, poetic onomastics.
