Ontogenetic development of Symplocarpus renifolius

Results of research the ontogenetic development of Symplocarpus renifolius in the south of Far East are stated. It is established, that ontogenesis of S. renifolius is characterized by the big duration (100 and more years) and slow development of species. The rhizome is formed as epiogenic in the age condition of plantlet. Change of monopodial outgrowth on sympodial occurs at virginilian plants. Generative period lasts more than 30 years.
