Operators of signal transformation

Signals bear a certain useful information. If during conversion of signals there is a violation of the information concluded in them (the partial loss, the quantitative change of a ratio of information components or parameters, etc.), then such changes are defined as signal distortions. If the useful information is invariable or remained adequate to contents in an input signal, then it is possible to call such changes conversions of a signal.
