Pillar university as driver of innovative scientific and educational environment of the region

The article considers the positioning of universities as a subject of innovation, the expansion of the innovative potential of the region due to the activity of universities, the formation of a sustainable innovation system in the region. The work of universities contributes to the creation of an enabling environment for the development of local communities, thus providing conditions for the effective development of regions and the country as a whole. The study uses an assessment of the contribution of universities to the socio-economic situation of the regions based on accessible, open statistics, which allows to estimate the degree of mutual influence and predict the directions of influence. Pillar universities implement development programs in cooperation with many participants. Parameters are included in the evaluation of the activities of pillar universities: the structure of income of support universities from different sources, the contribution of the university sector to the total volume of regional expenditures on R&D...
