Determination of phthalic and maleic anhydride in the joint presence of gas chromatography

The purpose of this study is to develop a method of quantitative determination of phthalic anhydride in the liquid and gaseous media in the presence of maleic anhydride by gas chromatography. The main problems solved in developing a method of gas chromatographic determination of phthalic anhydride in the presence of maleic anhydride were: the transfer of anhydrides to esters of phthalic and maleic acids with a maximum output, the choice of optimal parameters of the separation of esters of phthalic and maleic acids by column chromatography, and the shortening of the definition.
