Efficiency determination of use of condensate boilers for heat supply of public buildings

A promising way in the development of the heat supply systems is the use of the condensing technologies. The efficiency of use of a condensate boiler is achieved by reducing the gas consumption in comparison with a cheaper high-temperature boiler. Concerning this fact, an improved graphical methodology for determining fuel consumption was proposed. When calculating the gas flow rate, the change in the efficiency of the boiler from the outside air temperature is taken into account. Graphical dependences of fuel consumption on the duration of the boiler plant operation are presented. The application of this technique to a consumer with a thermal load varying in the range from 0,75 to 1,5 MWt has made it possible to determine the gas saving, which ensured a pure discounted income of 893 thousand rubles.
