Definition of real estate in Russia: economic background and legal approaches

The article deals with the definition of the real estate offered by Russian legislators, and the ratio of the terms «property», «real estate», «real thing». Analyzes the criteria for the classification of property as real and characteristics (properties) of real estate. We study the problem of compulsory state registration of rights to immovable property as a criterion for classification as immovable property. As a result of a research article the author proposes the definition of immovable property for considering taking into account the individualization of the property.
