Determination of organoleptic and chemical parameters of well water and its purification

The article deals with the results of determining the organoleptic and chemical indicators of well water quality of underground horizons of Omsk region, used by the population for water supply. As a result of determination of chemical indicators of well water of the public well of Horticultural partnership "Neftekhimik" it was established that water quality does not meet the requirements of SanPiN 2.1.4.1175-02 on indicators - the General mineralization, the General rigidity, the content of the General iron, nitrite ions, chromium (VI) and oxidability. Water purification by passing through the filter layer, consisting of ion exchange resin and activated carbon, allowed to bring the water quality indicators to the standards of SanPiN 2.1.4.1175-02, except for the oxidation index. To reduce the oxidation rate, additional reagent treatment should be carried out using potassium permanganate or sodium hypochlorite as an oxidizer.
