Determining the identity and good quality indicators of herbs - Allium ursinum leaves

Allium ursinum leaves collected in the North Caucasus region are analyzed and the main morphological and anatomical characteristics are determined. The results allow to confirm the identity of raw materials irrespective of the growth and harvesting region. A set of microdiagnostic feature s necessary to identify the intact, crushed and powder leaves of Allium ursinum is discovered. At the merchandising analysis numerical indicators characterizing the purity of medicinal plant - Allium ursinum leaves is developed. Macro- and microelements analysis is carried out in samples of Allium ursinum leaves, the content of heavy metals and radionuclides is determined. It is shown that Allium ursinum leaves accumulate potassium, magnesium, selenium, zinc, and iron. The analysis results indicate the ecological cleanliness and safety of the material.
