Identifying problems and approaches to increasing the level of gardening development in the Altai region

The article examines the problems of the development of horticulture in the region, and notes the relevance of the study, which lies in the significant contribution of horticulture in providing the population with fresh and high-quality products, which in turn has a positive effect on the health of residents of the region. The positive impact of the industry on the socio-economic development of rural areas was also noted, due to the creation of additional jobs and production infrastructure. The experience of foreign countries in the development of horticulture is considered, and measures to support the industry implemented in the Russian Federation are also presented. The factors influencing the development of the industry and their differences in different regions are noted. The conditions for the development of horticulture in the Altai Territory are considered. The volumes and dynamics of product imports into the region are presented. Measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of the industry in the region are proposed.
