The following study is concerned with theoretical investigation of Optical Tamm States (OTS) in the cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) - metal structure, and with development of a method of creation samples of structures based on the CLC for observation Optical Tamm States. The calculated reflectance and transmittance spectra of the CLC - metal structures are shown when the OTS is excited. Method of creation an optical contact between the metal film and the CLC by applying a PAzo thin film as photoaligning substrate (which starts the orientation process of the CLC) to the metal film is demonstrated. The possibility of orientation of the photoalignment molecules is demonstrated by using linearly polarized third harmonic radiation and a Nd:YAG pulse oscillator was used as the source of the radiation.
