Optimization design of the radiator car air heater

The article presents the analysis of the design of the heat exchanger and radiator heater of the company “Advers”. The disadvantages of these products and their impact on the performance of the heater are revealed. It is noted that for effective use of the device it is necessary that the entire design of the radiator is heated by the coolant. The modified design of the air heater heat exchanger and the design of the designed radiator are presented, the order of experimental studies on a prototype manufactured according to the model of products on CNC machines is considered. The sequence of calculation of the main hydraulic characteristics of the heater is given: fuel consumption, air, volume of exhaust gases. The sequence of calculation of the main thermal characteristics of the heater is given: air temperature, housing, exhaust gases, thermal power of the installation and the heat transfer coefficient.
