Optimization of the pension system of the Russian Federation as part of its evolution

The article is an overview and is devoted to identifying the features of optimizing the pension system of the Russian Federation in the course of its evolution. To a large extent, the relevance of the topic is related to the systematic attempts of the country’s government to reform the pension system by redistributing the main amount of responsibility for future pensions in favor of the country’s citizens. This explains the increasing importance of accumulative and insurance principles in the pension system to the detriment of distributive ones. The article notes that the measures taken by the government of the country for decades to optimize the pension system consisted in changing certain parameters of the pension model. This could not lead to positive changes, since it was necessary to change the system itself. The country’s authorities were forced to resort to radical reforms due to a significant increase in the pension budget deficit. It was caused by a number of factors that will have a negative impact on the stability of the country’s pension system in the future...
