Optimization of sowing time for the maize as applied to droughty zone of Stavropol region

Active investigations have revealed nonordinary influence of sowing time on yield in maize hybrids from various groups of ripeness that point out on necessity of individual work with each hybrid. The field experiments were carried out in working environment of droughty zone of Stavropol' region have shown that for most of studied hybrids of native breeding one can and even one needs to step aside from traditional sowing after soil heating on depth of seeds setting to +10 °C and to begin the sowing at the temperature +7 - +8 °C.
