We propose a fiber optic dosimetry system that comprises sensor element made of polymer scintillation fiber adjusted to the photodetector through a transport optical fiber. The photodetector signal is processed by a microcontroller system and converted into the values of radiation source activity. The fiber optic dosimetry system is employed to measure activity of the ionizing radiation sources within the selected local segment of a chromatographic column. The latter is used to separate mixtures of radioactive isotopes into components employing different rates at which they propagate through a sorbent. Fiber optic dosimetry system performs automated measurement of activity of ionizing radiation source and storage of measurement data.
