Experience of using landscape planning tools within a framework of a complex landscaping project for a private estate

The presented work is an example of applied use of landscape planning tools for working out a landscaping concept for a private estate territory. Taking into account the customer's objectives and plans for building big objects on the land lot (a big water reservoir, an artificial hill, etc), there was executed the necessary research of relief, ground, water regime of the territory, its soil and vegetation; the melioration plan was worked out. Series of specific maps of the land lot were made up, vertical relief planning was recommended, there were pointed out the "problem zones" and specific cross sections were made for them combining information about the relief, planned land works and hydrogeological situation. Layout schemes of objects and landscaping were worked out basing on the land lot functional zoning following the ecological principles.
