The purpose of research is to show the results of surgical treatment of children with congenital heart disease (CHD) by conducting adequate immunostimulating therapy. Examined are 127 children with CHD at the age of 1-7 years old, among them 79 being operated under the bypass conditions and 48 - without it. A control group - 86 children - were undergone surgical operation combined with traditional treatment, but 41 patients had received both a radical surgical treatment and immunomodulators (timogen 10 mkg/kg intramuscular per day under the strict medical control). The results demonstrated that immunomodulating therapy in the all sided treatment of patients with CHD leads to substantial increase of T-lymphocites with helper-inductive features and to the growth of immunoregulatory index at the early postoperational period. Timogen also increases the total number of T-lymphocites. T- and B-cell immunity results in vivid sano-genetic effect. The positive correlation between hemodynamic and immunologic profiles before the operation and at all levels of treatment has been established.
