An essay in the making of the ideographic dictionary of occasionalisms (on the materials from M. E. Saltykov-Schedrin’s works). Article 1

The objective of the article is the making of the ideographic dictionary. The materials of the study comprise the occasionalisms found in the texts by M. E. Saltykov-Schedrin. Semantic groups were classified, their content being brought into correlation with the ideology conveyed in the texts and the aesthetic system the writer adheres to. Every lexicographic slot is followed by a commentary which includes the semantization of the occasionalism under study, as well as the sufficient context of its use.
