Experience of providing material support to knowledge workers in Russian agriculture of 1930-s (the case of Russia's European North)

The article describes the experience of providing material support to agricultural knowledge workers in Russia's European North in the 1930-s. These workers are united into the class of agricultural intellectuals in the context of capitalization, modernization and intellectual capital theories. The correspondence between formal and actual conditions, in which the intellectuals of the region's agriculture lived and worked, is revealed on the basis of legal, archive sources and periodicals.
